Are you tired of your showerhead? Some homes still have decades old shower-heads attached to their shower from when the home was built. Others have cheap shower heads that are failing and falling apart. If you want to take care of this in your home, it is not a very complicated process.
First, you will need to remove your existing shower head. If there is a lot of corrosion, this could prove to be a little tricky, and you should exercise care that you don’t damage the pipes since this could be a very costly problem. If you find that the showerhead won’t budge even when using tools, you might need to consult a professional to remove it.
Once the old shower head is removed, you should clean off the thread well with a wire brush and wrap it with a thin layer of Teflon tape. Screw on the new shower head, and again, exercise care, especially if using a tool.
Once installed, run some water, check for leaks and you are all set.
